My daughter was tired of the same old parties year after just like her friends, everyone always did the same things.  One year we decided to do a baby shower theme. We printed out baby Shower invitations on pink paper stating that my husband and I were proud to announce the birth of our baby girl,...who was born 10 years ago. The invitations went on to include all of the basic party info and requested that all who attended please arrive in their finest "baby" attire. We have a pool and also asked that all baby swimmers remember to bring their floaties and rubber duckies. We decorated with pink and blue streamers, balloons, and baby shower decorations. We covered all the furniture with old baby blankets, diaper bags, and baby toys. We ordered a baby shower cake and served Gerber baby snacks, animal crackers, baby sized cookies (mini-oreos, mini-ritz, etc.) Everyone drank baby juice from sipper cups (that they could keep). Deep fried mini chicken drumsticks and mashed potatoes(baby food) were also served.  Baby shower games were played for prizes. All the "babies" were given pacifier necklaces when they arrived and told not to cross their arms, legs, eyes, fingers, etc. or their necklace would be taken away from the "baby" that caught them, We played remember the baby items,...20 baby items placed on a platter, shown to our baby guests for 1 min. then removed.  They were all asked to write down as many as they could remember. We played what's missing from the clothesline. 15 different baby items were hung on a portable clothesline. Baby guests looked for 1 minute. The clothesline was taken away...1 item was removed, then the clothesline was brought back out. Everyone thought they were to remember what they saw but the ??? was "what was missing?"  A guzzling contest of milk in baby bottles was played, contestants kept their bottles.  We also played guess the baby food...labels were removed from various baby food jars with food of different colors and the baby guests had to guess what it was. Prizes were awarded to the cutest baby costume, and the most original. Gift bags(Pull-up diapers with the leg holes sealed) were handed out with pink bubblegum cigars that said, "it's a girl,", as well as pink lollipops and other party favors printed with the same thing.
