For my 20th birthday in Novemeber I decided to have an 80s theme. Since they say everything comes around every 20 years. First the I made invitations in neon colors. I went to the craft store
and bought neon color paper with plain white envelopes. On the back of the envelope i took a stensil of checkerboard and painted it black to represent van sneakers. Inside I wrote the invite
as if I was talking from the 80s with words like awsome. I then put a sticker of strawberry shortcake on the side of the two-folded invite. Everyone had to dress from the 80s! People had
great costume ideas which can easly be found on halloween costume sites. As for decorations I tried to find little kid cartoons from Care Bears to My Little Pony, since that is what we
remember the 80s for and that can be found at party stores. Also the tableware and and plates were 80's cartoons. The cups were neon blue! We also had ballons and streamers neon colors. For
food we had pizza, chips & soda. I tried looking for 80's soft drinks but it was hard to find! besides pepsi. The music was all 80's which I burned on cd's. In the background on the TV we
played 80s movie's such as Breakfast Club & Sixteen Candles. During the time we played Trival Pursuit, which the game board & questions were from the 80s, that I borrowed. It ended up
being harder for us since we didn't know everyone from that era. Also we had a contest for best outfit! After a couple hours of food, games and fun it was time for everyone to leave. As party
favors I gave out a bag full of candy autheticly 80's such as pop rocks, candy neckalces, etc. Everyone had a good time and posted pictures for everyone to see on social networking sites!
