For my 30th birthday I decided to be young one more night by hosting a retro 80's birthday party. I searched rummage sales and sadly my own basement to find various 80's posters and album covers to decorate.  Beverages included wine coolers, beer and of course wapatooey! I had pre-made about 7 hours of 80's music which we played all night in the basement, and also ran 80's movie's on a television upstairs(Breakfast Club, Valley Girl, Ferris Bueller etc...) Everyone came in their best 80's garb.  Miami Vice, Madonna, etc. That is not hard to do since that is pretty much all that is at thrift stores these days. Everyone was also asked to bring their best (or worst) photo of themselves from the 80's.  These photos were displayed on the "Wall of Shame."  Prizes were awarded for the best photo and the best costume. I gave away copies of the music CD's I had burned for the party with 6 hours of 1980's music.  A great time was had by all and I've got the pictures to prove it. As a matter of fact, it's been requested that I host an annual themed "30th birthday party".
