I had a party for my residents at the nursing home. Everyone was given an invitation that had a picture of New York City at night, inviting everyone to attend. I was able to line up some special entertainment for the party. I constructed buildings from the city on to cardboard. I painted each one and put lights around each of the buildings. I made street signs that said Times Square and made signal lights to add to the back drop. I also had posters of New York City on the walls. I had black and red balloons on every table. I had black table cloths on every table. I added a mirror w/ a vase of red roses with some silver glitter around the mirrior. I had everyone dress in their finest clothes (prom dress, best Sunday attire). I served dry martini's w/ olives, cosmo's, spritzer's, deli sandwiches, pickles, and other appitizers. A great time was had by all.
