5oth Anniversary Party Idea For my Parents 50th anniversary I decorated the hall with gold and cream balloons and a large banner wishing them a happy 50th anniversary. On each table I put
cream tablecloths with gold confetti and small bottles of bubbles tied with gold curly ribbon (these were for the kids to enjoy), in the center was a gold vase with cream silk roses with
baby's breath and small gold hearts. I placed a wallet sized black and white wedding picture of my parents framed in a small acrylic frame with a small gold bow in the corner at every other
place setting (these were favors for each couple to take home). I just scanned these on my computer and printed them out. For the invitations I also made them on the computer with their
wedding picture stating "Your Invited ...50 Years of Memories... Celebrated in an Afternoon." At the inside bottom of the invitation I put "In lieu of gifts please bring
a photo or a written memory to add to a memory book to be presented to the guests of honor." I then set up a table of scrapbooking items... stickers, various papers, punches, glue,
special scissors,ect... and let each guest make their own page. We received pictures and memories from all over the states and everyone enjoyed crafting. At the end of the party I
added their invitation, napkin, cards, and pictures from the party to their book. My parents still treasure their album.
We also took a group picture of everyone there with my parents as a special memory it was an event to remember!!
