As my husband turned 30 I decided he had to have a huge Bash, a surprise of course.  We have four children so i had to budget very well. First I found the most embarassing picture of him as a child- which I had many to choose from. Printed the invites with the selected picture from the home computer and added the text Look who is turning 30".  All the party info was inside.  To set up I used black white and silver table clothes and decorations.  I contacted the local grocery store that sells flowers and asked them to save their dead ones. I made centerpieces with the dead flowers in plastic vases that were at the local thrift store. I made a 2 caskets out of wood and one was used for the DJ the other was used for the buffet. You have to set the casket for the buffet on milk crates because if you put it on a table it is too high for it to be useful. A casket can easily be made out of one sheet of plywood with top and all because it looks great at 18 inches deep. The cake looked like a big dirt mound with a casket on top. I let anyone who asked what to get him that i was giving out prizes for the best gag gift. That was one of the best parts of the night. You can only imagine what people came up with.  We had quiz games on how well people knew him with prizes that were relevant to the answer.  Many roasted him with was hysterical.  To this day people say how much fun they had and everyone always remembers the dead flowers!"
