For my husband's 40th birthday party. I decided to give him a Surprise 40th Margaritaville Party.  I handmade invitations that had a beach theme in the front. I used real sand for textured beach sand in front and used beach theme stickers inside.  All attendees were asked to dress in their favorite Tropical attire.  I decorated the snack table and the gift table with tropical fabric. I had beach balls and a lei outside to indicate where the party was at. All the guests were given a lei as they arrived. We also had Jimmy Buffet playing through out the house. Many of his friends are big Jimmy Buffet fans so they enjoyed hearing these songs. We also had what I called, "Cheeseburgers In Paradise" to eat with other finger foods. I served Margaritas from Margaritaville. The children all wore fins on their heads, which went along with the "Fins" song. When my husband arrived I made sure that the song " A pirate looks at Forty" was playing. He was really surprised and really enjoyed the party especially because it had the Jimmy Buffet/Margaritaville theme.
