I give my husband a surprise party every year, so he knows it coming, he just never knows what day around his birthday it will be or what it will be. However on his 49th, I did tell him
his surprise party was going to be the entire day, (his actual birthday date) so dont make any plans that day.
We started off at 11 am and I told him to get in the car and I drove him to his first surprise, a haircut at a salon. After that, it was off to the next place, the spa. I told him we were both going to get a massage. He was also going to get a pedicure and a moisture treatment. I was filling out the paperwork to make it look like I was going to get a massage as well, and they took him to the men's side and I left! I went home and had his REAL surprise delivered to the house, it was a piano! He found the piano 6 weeks earlier, but I told him we could not afford it at this time and then I went behind his back and brought it! So I knew it was the one he wanted. (1954 Grand Baldwin) We knew the store owner and he was in on it and when my husband came back to the store to see it a couple of weeks later, the owner told him it was sold to someone in other town. (he was crushed) After they delivered and set the piano up in his studio, I left and met him at the spa, telling him my massage was great, how was yours? He loved it! Then it was on to the next surprise, a romantic dinner at a new place we had not been too. We had to do dinner so that all of our friends would have time to get to our house at 6:30 pm. After dinner, I let him walk in the dark" house first and they all yelled "Gotsya!" Then I said (we had just built the new music studio in the back yard) let go see the new studio! (Everyone KNEW the new piano was there except my husband) So everyone went there and I held my husband at the door and they all went in first it was priceless! It was quite a day for him! "
